Glorious Goodwood Day Two — 13:45 Goodwood — Unibet You’re On Goodwood Handicap (Class 2)
A long-distance, big field handicap is next on the list. We have almost the same field as the Ascot Stakes but I don’t think Coeur De Lion will be winning this.
I will be pinning my colours to Rochester House for Mark Johnston. Like many of Mark Johnston’s he had plenty of racing last year and managed to pick up three wins before some poor efforts at the back of the season.
He’s come back this year and has looked like he could land something, or at least be competitive in a race of this nature.
As we all know and has been spoken about plenty Mark Johnston does have a fantastic record at Goodwood which can only be deemed as positive.
So back to the horse, Rochester House has run well in all starts this season. Including an eye-catching fifth in the aforementioned Ascot Stakes. I think this less stamina-sapping track will really play into strengths and I expect him to be there or thereabouts.
